These are smaller sample cans to test colours of Messmer's UV Plus. One sample can will cover about 6 square feet.
Messmers for Hardwood Decks is a very high-quality 100% penetrating stain (never use a film-forming sealant on Ipe) that is formulated especially for Ipe and other hardwood decks. It is also one of the few hardwood stains that can stand up well to the harsh winter climates.
Annual single-coat applications are very easy to perform (no scraping is required) and will maintain the beautiful colouring of your DiamondWood Ipe decking.
Once you've chosen your colour, it is highly recommended that you prepare the deck before staining using our "Ultimate Deck Cleaner - Step 1" (to remove surface contaminants and dirt that prevent optimal stain penetration and adhesion) and then our "Ultimate Citric Brightener - Step 2" (to brighten wood and create the optimal Ph-level for stain retention).
Many of our customers are switching over from competitor's stains, in which case you may wish to strip the deck first using our easy-to-use "Ultimate Deck Stripper - Step 1 for Oil-Based Coatings" followed by our "Ultimate Citric Brightener - Step 2".
