These are smaller sample cans to test the appearance of various Messmer's UV Plus tints on your actual wood. One sample can will cover about 6 square feet.
Messmer's UV Plus is a truly excellent stain containing extremely high quality resins and pigment particles. It will provide a much richer tone and greater longevity than any commonly-available stain.
It is a full-penetration stain that will not alter the wood surface, obscure the natural grain, or form a surface skin. For this reason recoating is very quick and easy - there will be no scraping required and only a single coat is required (multiple coats are not recommended).
Once you've chosen your colour, it is highly recommended that you prepare the deck before staining using our "Ultimate Deck Cleaner - Step 1" (to remove surface contaminants and dirt that prevent optimal stain penetration and adhesion) and then our "Ultimate Citric Brightener - Step 2" (to brighten wood and create the optimal Ph-level for stain retention).
Many of our customers are switching over from competitor's stains, in which case you may wish to strip the deck first using our easy-to-use "Ultimate Deck Stripper - Step 1 for Oil-Based Coatings" followed by our "Ultimate Citric Brightener - Step 2".
